Overview
Macau is an autonomous region on the south coast of China, across the Pearl River Delta from Hong Kong. It is one of the freest economies in the region, with a flourishing gaming and tourism industry. Macau has a simple taxation system with low tax rates and no tax on capital gains. Much like Hong Kong, Macau is a free port with a separate customs policy from China. Positioned between Hong Kong and China, it is the ideal base of operations to enter the Great Bay Area and “Belt and Road Initiative”.
